Issues in current design
On close inspection of the design & existing products, we have identified the following issues:
- Common design - over specified
- Too many down lights spacing 0.9m x 1.2m
- High intensity areas created - counter 1100 lux, shop floor 850 lux, soup kettle area 1100 lux
- Average Lighting Levels in some areas are twice the recommended levels
- Internal signs & logos very patchy - adjustable down lights creating high intensity spots
- Total of 90 luminaires used
- Over 1900 watts of lighting power per store
